I’m trying to use the Move to Another Server feature from the domino administrator and its not working. (6.0.2 servers, 6.0.2 clients)
The admin user that is requesting the move has author access with user creator and user modifier roles in the Domino Directory. Both the move requestor and the person being moved have the ability to run restricted lotusscript/java agents on both the originating server and the new server.
The admin4.nsf reports that all the steps mentioned in the help doc ‘Move a mail file from one server to another’ are being executed correctly but from what I can see they are not!
The cracks are starting to appear at the Replace mail file fields stage. The new fields ARE populated with the new mail server details and the old mail file fields are added. The help doc says that the new fields should be removed at somepoint once the user has authenticated with the originating home server and updated their location document with the new server details. This is whats failing. The server details on the location doc is not changed and the new fields are not removed. Therefore the person doc does not change either.
Why are the new fields not being removed?
Why is the location document not accepting the new details?
I assume because the changes have not been applied to the location document the person doc will not be changed.
Why does the admin4.nsf move on to the next stage without highlighting a stage has not completed correctly?
Is it access to the domino directory that is causing the failure?
I have tried many tests with different levels of access for the admin user to things like the personal nab and the mail file but still with author/user modifier/creator in the nab. I dont want to make the admin user an editor of the nab.
I have been able to complete this process if the admin user has manager access to the NAB.
Can anyone confirm that it is a security issue with the nab and that the author/UC/UM roles dont have sufficient access to perform this automated function. or is there an alternative way round?
Please help… spent way too much time trying to get this to work already!
