I think it is great that you have created an add-in that might be useful to a lot of people.
I think it is OK that you have promoted it once already on both this and the ND6 Gold forum.
I think it is disturbing that you are getting back on here again so soon to promote how successful it has been to promote your product.
I think it will be a real problem both for you and this forum if you get the message that this means it is a good idea to simply post self-promotional posts on a regular basis that are written in rah rah advertising language.
This forum depends on a lot of people following a general set of guidelines. It is OK to propose solutions to stated problems. On rare occasion, it is OK to mention solutions without there being a stated problem, but people will turn against you quickly (actually already did with the first set of postings) if you poist with self aggrandizing language and the overly hyped language of spam. Be careful. You have done a good thing and gotten a good response. Don’t try to push the limits, or you will get highly negative feedback and leave a bad impression with a whole lot of people in a short time.

I hate SPAM and don´t like to SPAM, and I was not intent to do that. But what about the other 2 restrictions…
What is the policy for appropriate use of the forums?
Our forums are public, open, and unmoderated technical discussions for the Lotus product user community. We are providing this as a public service to our customers and partners. We welcome everyone, but specifically reserve the right to prohibit the following:
Abusive, negative or unproductive comments
Rude or offensive language
Excessive commercial promotion or recruiting efforts
Nothing in what Ben said could possibly have been construed as “rude or offensive language”, nor was it “abusive, negative or unproductive”. Ben merely pointed out that continuing to post in the manner that you have been doing will wind up losing you a lot more friends than you could possibly hope to gain. Since your site purports to be a portal for all things Domino, it won’t do you a lot of good to alienate the community, will it?
If you have something other than your toolbar to offer to the community, feel free to contribute – you’ve already told us about the toolbar and it solves no known problems for most of us. If you see someone posting a problem that your toolbar can help solve, then you may feel free to bring up that subject again in that context. Other than that, give it a rest for a while – it’s becoming Spam by shear repetition (my apologies to the good people at Hormel).
Given that Ben has been here on the forums offering his help and expertise for a significantly long time now, and that you have been here for only a week offering nothing but advertisments and abuse, I think I know who most people in the community will support…
Let me give you a hint: I will not be visiting your site or even looking at your product.
If this is the way you treat people when you are wanting to entice them to buy your product, then I hate to think how I would be treated afterwards if I happened to need support from you.
