Is there a way I can monitor a database like monitoring a task? So that if a database can not be accessed because it is corrupted or moved for some reason, then an email is automatically sent to the administrator or database manager?

you has to be running the Event Task, in the events4.nsf Database you can define alarms/notifications on a number of events. Create a new Evenet Handler a.e. with text which comes up on the Server console or a predefined Event Message.
