I know there have been many items on return receipts in the past and I have placed a feature into our mail template to disable them.
My issue now is that all outbound mail (RR and CS) need to have a security classification (new government requirements here in OZ) on the subject line.
I have been tearing my hair out trying to find a way to modify the subject line of a RR before being sent. Even if you modify the RR form in the mail template it makes no difference to what gets sent out.
I’m thinking it is some sneaky function built into Lotusscript (like some other mail functions eg AddHandler).
Anyway if someone has any idea how I can do this it would be much appreciated.
Look in the RR database script libraries section. search for the string that you are looking for in those libraries. My guess is that you will have to modify a static string in some function that has been created within the RR database.
Good luck finding the exact string you need to modify.
Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately I have been over all the scripts. I can modify the Subject field or really change anything I want on the RR form, and it makes no difference to what gets sent out. This is why I am thinking that rather than using the form (or scripts) in the mail template, Lotus has a secret function that does the work.
