Modify web login page: add cookie to remember username

Hi guys.

I would like to add a cookie to the standard web login page so it remembers the last user name you used.

I tried adding some cod ein the Submit event but then the button disappeared. I also tried a web query save agent with @sethttpheader but it doesn’t seem to work (cookie not created by browser).

Since I have no clue if this form has some special things (like the plain standard Sign In button), I stopped right there and thought I’d ask.

Has anybody done tha before?

Thanks a lot

Hello Benoit,

We did something similar with a mix of JavaScript and @Formula. My client wanted to expelled a user after 3 wrong user/password attempts. We did it by creating/updating a cookie containing some data if there was an error on logon.

It was twisted but since the WQS did not work with this form …

So, with some JavaScript, you should be able to do what you want!

Thanks for the info. I had a feeling I’d have to do some tricky/fancy stuff…

I’ll roll up my sleeves and start JavaScript coding!

Have a great 2007.
