Modify pages by user

I’d like, that the user (db-administrtor) can modify the content of the design-element page, without using the designer. I can create a special documt, but how can I get the content of this document in the page?

You can use DXL import functionality to modify the design elements. But in most cases it’s easier to install the Designer client and do the changes.

On Notessidan.se blog there is an example of a survey database which uses DXL for creating dynamic forms without programming: http://www.notessidan.se/A55B53/blogg.nsf/plink/TADN-6TGRXJ

The page is in Swedish, but the About Database document in download is in English.

If I understand correctly, I think this would be pretty tough to do. You’ll need to explain alot more where you are stuck.

Instead why not have that design-page be a FORM with a richtextfield? Then you are dealing with them modifying normal form content rather than a design element itself.

I think the RTF can do pretty much all that a page can, and you can even hide the field brackets in Notes to make it LOOK like a totally blank page in edit mode. You can also enforce that the form content is a single document during querysave, so your users don’t create 5 extras.

I have a database similar to the noteshelp-database. There are frames with pages. In the help-database are static pages. I’d like to make the pages dynamic.
