Modified documents have incorrect date

We have a database with the following properties:

Note that today’s date is 1/29/2008… and the “Modified” date says 1/30/2008… clearly a problem.

Whenever we create new documents, they contain the correct date/time stamp… but any documents that are modified and saved get the Modified time from the database… in this case 1/30/2008… Yesterday, the database “Modified” date was three days ahead… so last night we made a new copy of the database and replaced the original db with the copy… then used Antrid to change the db id to what it should be… but it is still not correct.

What would cause this? and (more importantly) how do I fix it and make it not happen again?

This database is replicated to laptops… but only 3 of them… and all the laptops have the correct date/time…date/time on our domain and domino server(s) is also accurate.

Are your laptop users opening up the Windows clock dialog, and clicking on the calendar ? That changes the PC’s clock, which in turn changes the Notes clock.

When you cancel the dialog, the PC clock is rolled back, but Notes will not roll it’s clock back, as there are too many time-based functions in Notes, like replication.

Playing with the Windows clock dialog while Notes is running is a sure-fire way to make Notes use future dates, until it’s restarted.

I have read that this causes problem… our network policies don’t allow users to change their date/time though… so I don’t think that was the cause. Further testing will prove this out.

You don’t have a fix for it do you?
