Subject: Mobile directory Catalog and Type ahead
the local mobile directory catalog (if that is what you’ve got, because it SHOULDN’t be based on pubnames.ntf) must be full text indexed.
Read the admin help file on how to create a directory catalog on the server and ensure you followed all the steps correctly.
Be aware that mobile DCs can stop working on a regular basis and if this happens, you need to delete and re-create the local FT Index

Thanks for your kind answer.
I used different template dircat5.ntf , it work fine.

We call it a Condensed Directory Catalog (CDC) here. It may be more helpful to use that term if you’re Google searching.
Anyhow, you need to be aware of what a CDC is, and what it isn’t. It’s a highly-compressed version of your public address book. That means it uses a bare minimum number of view indexes and, most importantly for you, not every name permutation is stored in the CDC. That means if you’re not typing the name as it appears in the CDC, then type-ahead won’t find it.
