Missing mail

My server got these messages over the weekend:Error on Listen function: Insufficient memory - Network Pool is full.

It has been logging this message all weekend and the server has been unavailable.

After a restart the server is up and running again, but all mail over the weekend has not arrived.

I have looked in the mail.box on the servers nothing is in queue there. I sent myself a mail during the weekend without getting an errormessage back.

We have a mailserver who recives all mail and routes them to other servers which was not down. But the server with all the mailfiles was not responding.

Anybody have any idea what has happend, or where the mails may have been stored?

  2. do you have more than one Mail.box?

That’s why the use of SMTP-Backbones are important (Talk to your internet provider)…

Usualy the senders should have get a non-deliver message if your server was not available. In some cases the foreign mail servers might try to send it multple times, so it also might be, that you’ve already received those messages…

Thanx for your response.After intense seraching there was an additional mail.box on a server that I was not aware of.

Found all my mail there.
