Missing documents in database - but just on one PC

I have a user who can’t see some of the documents in one of our custom databases. She has access to the database under ‘Default’ which is set to Editor. No one else is experiencing this problem, even though many people access the database using ‘Default’ access.

The user can view the database through a browser and see all of the documents. The user can move her .id file to another PC and see all of the documents. If a totally different person puts their .id file on the user’s PC and views the database, they can only see the same documents that the first user can see (and can’t see the rest).

The Notes client has been completely uninstalled and all folders deleted, then Notes was reinstalled. This fixed nothing.

I’m stumped - what should we try next?

I know that you mentioned that you re-installed the Notes client and deleted the files, but you may want to try deleting the cache.ndk file from the ‘Data’ directory and also try compacting the workspace.

It turned out to be the desktop6.ndk file. When it was replaced with one from a different user, everything was viewable. Strange that the problem recreated itself even with a new installation of Notes, but swapping out just that file fixed the problem.
