I was reviewing this page on R8 performance…
According to the disk I/O results, for the 1000, 2000, and 3000 user test, the disk I/O actually increased when moving to ODS 48. The CPU usage didn’t vary much.
Apparently, moving to the R8 mail template improves performance, but I’m more concerned about existing custom applications. I’m hoping to get better performance out of an R8 server, but it looks like the performance benefit is very small.
Anyone have any observations on custom-app performance when moved from R6.5/R7 to R8?
