I have checked previous posts but haven’t found anything that exactly matches what I am seeing. We are receiving the following cd to mime error on our Blackberry server after upgrading to BES 4.0 Service pack 5 hotfix 2.
"11/20/2006 10:21:13 AM Unknown type of compression technique
11/20/2006 10:21:13 AM MIME to CD error (Process: ? (00001724:00000002), Database: C:\Lotus\Domino\Data\mail.box, Note: 000307FA): Unknown type of compression technique"
It is very isolated in nature, maybe four or five messages in total a day out of thousands, and if I copy and paste the held messages to another server’s mail.box the message route without issue.
If I open the held message, there is a mime attachment created in the document. In most cases (that I can remember) it is a reply to someone else email. Both RIM and Lotus are pointing the finger at each other. Since this has appeared just after doing the hotfix, I believe it is a BES issue. Any ideas, opinions or feedback that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. So far Lotus support had me turn off LZ1 compression (which didn’t help).
Its a R 6.55 server running on Windows 2003 service pack 2. Plenty of RAM and Processor power.
