We are migrating some users of Outlook 2000 and Outlook 2002 (on Exchange 5.5) to Notes 6.0.2 CF1 on Domino 6.0.2 CF1.
The users are currently part of a large Exchange-using organisation, and as such we don’t have access to an account with System Account Administrator privileges.
We are migrating users’ existing mail to Domino by copying it across to Personal Folders and then using nupgrade 3 to migrate from there. Basically it’s the procedure laid out here:
I know that some of our users that have sync Outlook with their PDA can sync back their PDA to Notes and thus have their calendar entries (with Easy sync pro or Intellisync)
I would urge you to do a thorough investigation of the sync software options before you make that plunge, too.
Although EasySync is Lotus’ product, it’s neither actually written by them (it’s a OEM’d version of XTND Connect from Extended Systems), nor does it support server-side replication, which most people would put fairly high on a wishlist these days.
I’ve posted this list before (thanks to copy-and-paste!), but I’d suggest you check out:
All of these sync products have server-based options, which is what you really want if you want to sync some of the newer devices via their internet capabilities.
