Migrating Lotus Notes/Domino to Java

I am looking for help/guidance, success/horror stories from anyone who has been involved in a project to migrate a large Lotus Notes/Domino application to Java (Both Notes client and Web based). Our requirements are to co-exist with Java for while then to migrate all of the application to Java (probably running under Tomcat).

Thanks

John

Subject: Why not XPages?

This would be an easier move and then you could start rewriting logic in agents, etc. to Java libraries and using those in XPages.

Subject: I agree

With all the improvements in xPages since the initial 8.5 release (and the fact there is no rip and replace required), this would be the best way to slowly move toward your goal

It depends what the motivation for moving to Java is. If it is just for the sake of it, then only success stories and horror stories will help you speak to the interested parties
