Migrate Exchange2000 to Domino 8.5

I’m migrating an Exchange2000 server with 300 users to Domino 8.5. I’d like to have co-existence of both Exchange & Domino during the migration.

Is the Microsoft Connector for Lotus the right approach ?

I’ve attempted to install the Connector on my Exchange2000 SP3 (Win2000 SP4 patched to current).

After configuring, any attempt to run the DirSync will cause the Lotus Conector Service to shutdown.

Any advice ?

Subject: Domino Upgrade Services

The Domino Upgrade Services (DUS) allows you to migrate Exchange users to Domino.

there is also a Redbook on migration:

But, you could always look at third party tools for coexistence as well. I might suggest looking at BinaryTree’s CMT for Notes to provide the migration of users and CMT For Coexistence. Depending on the number of users you are planning on migrating, these tools can provide tremendous benefits over the Microsoft Connector alone.

SMTP Traffic between Notes and Domino is not very conducive to both environments. Changes to iCal formats are no consistent and you may encounter significant problems with repeating meetings in both directions. This Coexistence solution will correct as much as can be possibly done.
