I just uninstalled version 7 and installed version 8.5.1. My question is, is there a utility that will allow me to migrate my Workspace bookmarks from 7 to 8.5.1? I am lost without those bookmarks. Everytime I have an issue with an application for the first time after installing 8.5.1, it takes me forever to find the right version of the development database. Please tell me there is a way to do this.

You did not say how you actually did the upgrade. When you upgrade an existing Notes 7 client all of the bookmarks and workspace should get upgraded to the new version. You could also try copying the bookmark.nsf and desktop7.ndk to the new machine, rename the desktop8.ndk and version 8 bookmark.nsf file and launch the client. Either method should bring your previous setting over to the new version.
