I am comfortable with the 5.0.8 server upgrade to 7.0.2. How about the clients? I think thet the SmartUpgrade process was introduced (or specific to) to V6+ clients. I’m about o install a 5.0.8 client on a test PC and access 7.0.2 server -w- SmartUpgrade enabled. I like the auto-upgrade + mail template upgrade of SmartUpgrade… has worked fine on some other servers with V6+ clients. Please don’t tell me that the old setup.iss (installshield) is in order here!?! Any thoughts, experiences, gotchas, best practices…

Did some more searching… seems my fears were confirmed. No Smart Upgrade for the V5 clients. Thoughts turn to upgrade-by-mail…
