We are having problems with the Microsoft Library Database. We have several excel spreadsheets in the database as an OLE and have been working fine till yesterday. Now we can open the first excel spreadsheet, but when one tries to open a second excel document, even if you close the first one, excel freezes and as a result notes stop responding.Any ideas why this is happening and how we can fix it?

Have no idea how to fix it, but if I had that problem I would probably try this.

Create a new Microsoft Library Database.

Put those Excel spreadsheets in them and try it from there.
Eliminating a corrupt or screwy database would be my first step.
After that I’d check the ACL and then go take a nap.
