Experiencing a problem with new emails not showing in the inbox. They show up in the All Doc just fine. This is after a recent upgrade to Notes 6.01 (including the critical fix patch). Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

We have seen this on a few occasions, usually it is a corruption in the mailbox, you might try fixup before compact. You can also use the -D on compact to dump the view indexes. If all that doesn’t work, your best bet is to check the design for multiple ($Inbox) elements if there is more than one delete all of them, if there is only one delete it as well and the replace the design. After that new mail should start oging in the inbox. However if you dlete the inbox any mail already in the inbox will not be there, it will only show in All Docs. Although if you search the R4/5 forum there is a script posted that will scan and repopulate the inbox that we have used with some success.

Hey Guys, all you have to do is open the $Inbox Folder in Designer, Goto its properties, change a setting re-apply it, and save it, then send a test email, it should start, working , have done that for the last 230 users.

Have you tried replacing the mail file’s design with the R6 template? I had this same thing happen to a user and that fixed it for her.

I only have two more suggestions. First, run compact -c on the affected mail database. If you still have the problem, end the mail server, delete or rename the mail.box database(s), and restart the server. If that doesn’t fix it I hope you have a Passport Advantage agreement so you can call it in to Lotus.
