Other than getting this message on my logs
08/10/2004 01:06:53 PM Error processing certificate created by O=synopsis for O=synopsis: The public key that is being used does not match the one that was certified.
my installation is working perfectly. Any ideas on why I get this message, and how to correct it?

May I ask you in which case you’ve got this error? What I can see is maybe that the certification log includes a certificate that is different than the one you have? Have you had a look at that and into the Domino Directory ?

This is a brand new installation that I started from scratch, including the generation of new certificates for the server, the organization, the OU and the users. HOWEVER the mail files are from a previous 6.5 installation. So after performing the install new 6.5.2 install, I created the new users, then replaced (overwriting) their mail files with the old mail files.
This is the only difference from a “regular” install.

OK I see. So, you had created the users in the past with a certificate X. Then you have installed a new server and created a certficate Y. Even if the two certificates have the same names, Domino cannot handle what you did because of the new certificate Y.
(Why don’t you have recertified users with the new OU certificate?)
(Plus, why don’t you have upgraded the server from 6.5 to 6.5.2 ???)
Normaly, the certlog on that new server as well as the Domino Directory should include the certificate Y.
What you should now perform is to recertify the users with the new cetificate Y via adminp, so that all old references will be updated.
