Message rejected for policy reasons

If a mail is rejected due to rules which you have defined it returns a mail to the sender with the following message:

Your message could not be delivered to: john@doe.com, because:

Error transferring to mail.joedoe.COM; SMTP Protocol Returned a Permanent Error 554 Message rejected for policy reasons.

Question: Is there any way to configure/edit the respons text?

Thanks,

Sure…

Look at the Configuration Document of your Server…

Tab:

SMTP/Router

Restrictions and Controls

SMTP Inbound Controls

You can define a Custom SMTP Message

Yes, thats correct. But this only applies to connecting hosts found in DNS-blacklist filter.

But for example we also refuse mail with an .exe attachment. We would like customize the message the server send back to the sender.
