We recently enabled message recall on our Domino 8.0.2 servers. I sent a test message from my 8.5 client using an 8.5 mailbox. The message was received on the same mail server by another 8.5 mailbox. When I tried to recall the message the recall status report showed the message was not recalled, with the error “message was not found.”
The server configuration document shows message recall is enabled for all messages less than 14 days old. We also have a policy document in place that allows me to recall messages. The destination user has the appropriate user preference to allow users to recall messages from his mailbox.
I can’t think of anything else to check. Am I missing something? Does the server require a restart after enabling message recall?
