I have one user who says his message disappears from his Inbox after he Replies to it. Any ideas?

Is it just replied-to messages disappearing, or everything they read? I would assume that this is the popular User-entered-View-Unread-mode-and-everything-they-read-disappears issue. If so, they’ll have an action button labelled “View All” instead of “View Unread” – except that if their screen resolution is less than 1024x768, it’ll be off-screen to the right, so they’ll never see it. (Also, the window title will read “Unread Documents only” – which, I guess, passes for an impossible-to-miss cue from the UI that you’re still in that mode.)

Thanks, Bruce. I thought of that, but the user says this is not the case, he can continue to see items in his inbox, even if read, until he replies. I can’t see his screen, he’s in Hawaii. It feels like I saw an option for this before going on vacation, but since vacation has cleared my cache, I can’t remember where I saw it. A co-worker commented that if it is an option, it’s the worst one ever!

Make sure that the user is sorting the inbox view by date - we had the same issue, and it turned out that the user had accidentally sorted the view by the reply/forward icon column, which made the emails seem to disappear.
