This is a problem refering my previous post on alert message not prompted out using lotus script.
I have made a small test by writing codes on click of a button:
Using lotusscript:
Messagebox “button clicked …”
Using javascript:
alert(“button clicked …”)
Using lotusscript which embedded javascript:
Print |" |
Both 1 & 2 can prompt out a message box,
but for 3, no box is prompted, the text is displayed on the status bar instead of prompting out a message box, anybody knows how it can be output to a message box?
Subject: message appears on status bar instead of on dialog box
Where are you calling the code? In Notes or Browser? In Notes Print will display the message in status bar. where as in Web it will prompt the message box
Subject: RE: message appears on status bar instead of on dialog box
oh I see.
Actually I have to call the code from both Notes and Browser using the same lotusscript codes. (For browser, I have to use agent to execute the lotusscript codes)
I cannot use Messagebox for web since it is unsupported. That is why I have to use embedded javascript within lotusscript codes.
Can we use Notes Print to display message on dialog box instead of showing on status bar?
