Another one - I upgraded my first test server from 6.5.4 to 8.0.1 this week and got this in the log

05/06/2008 12:38:17 Error adding or removing server from cluster (Domino Enterprise or Utility server is required for cluster support): Error deleting cluster database directory. Please remove manually.
I definitely installed the cluster options (thugh I see now that you cannot choose Domino Enterprise Server AND Customise options - it’s either/or.
It’s a single server envirionmnet but I added it to a cluster on it’;s own anyway and all seems OK, but this is another one that does concern me. Anyone else seen this?

we have some 8.0.1 servers, also in clusters and it works fine. are you sure you have the right installation package? -may be a limited package.

the file name of the package I used is is C18XPEN.exe which is the “IBM Lotus Domino Server 8.0.1 for Windows 2003 English” install
Subject: InstallType
Verify your installtype on your server and see if it is set to either4=Domino Enterprise Server
or
5=Domino Application Server.(Utility Server)
Both of these installtypes allow for clustering.
Each installtype will have different items that may or may not be installed.(.exe , etc)
The enterprise server is the best option to use to be sure that you can take advantage of all of the features that are availabled from a messaging and application standpoint.
