Although the toolbar is pretty dysfunctional in 8, I do keep trying to use it. When attempting to customize (add) to existing toolbars, the new buttons never save. This time I tried adding a new button to the preview menu. Not only did it not work, but now I receive the message “A toolbar is from an unknown version of Notes” every time I open a DB or document.
Resetting the toolbar, restarting Notes, etc. have not fixed the problem. Next is to reinstall Notes.
Update - Reinstalling doesn’t fix the issue. Next - a clean install…
Subject: RE: Message “A toolbar is from an unknown version of Notes”
I had this same issue when adding a new button to the ‘Preview’ toolbar in designer.
When I upgraded from 7.0.3 to 8.0.1 I took a backup of my Notes\Data folder. Copying over my old Bookmarks.nsf and desktop6.ndk files from the backup to the new Notes\Data directory fixed the issue. I’m not sure which file it was that fixed the problem as I copied both together.
