Merging of Mail files

I have 2 nsf mail files and I need to merge them, any ideas on how.?

I have tried to export from one and import to another but that doesn’t seem to work at all.?

With copy and paste.

Open the 2 Mail DB. Open the View all Documents STRG+A an then STRG+C.

Open the 1 Mail DB. STRG+V.

Subject: Merging of Mail files: an alternative suggestion

Copy and paste is quite an easy way to do it. However, copy and paste will have some serious side effects, including

  • you’ll lose your folder references

  • all documents will get a new “created” date which may pose some problems

I’d consider setting up the target database as an archive to the source database and use the enduser archiving tool in order to merge the databases. This might save you from programming, and you won’t lose your folders (instead they will be created if not available)
