Memory problems

we have had just about every memory error imaginable in our web application. i don’t know what engineering feats were accomplished at notesbench.org to get the numbers of concurrent users that a server should be able to support but our experience is that the actual real world limit is FAR below that of what is listed even for the lowliest of test they ran.

Sorry got a little off topic. I did notice an ini setting referenced in this forum httpusenotesmemory=0. this setting is supposed to tell Domino to use the OS memory instead of domino’s shared memory. the question I have is could I use that setting on our 64bit platform to allow http to address more than the 4gb RAM limit. I would have 4gb addressed specifically to Domino and another 8gb given to the OS. Any help would be appreciated.

If anyone has any experience with 64bit & the memory limits and/or any way to get around Domino’s 4gb limit I would love to hear it.

Subject: memory problems

This is pretty broad and sweeping. THe notesbench web based reports typically deal with iNotes mail access. Is this what you are referring to? Or is it a custom app? We’ll need more context.

How well are the environment variables on your linux server tuned? What version of the kernel, etc. Please provide as much detail as you can.
