Hi I would like to get some comments on some memory issues on the Windows platform.
-Why can domino only handle 2Gb Ram on Windows 2000 and 3Gb Ram on Windows 2003. Because with the correct switches it should be possible to address 3Gb Ram on Windows 2000 and mega much more on Windows 2003.
The main problem now is that we are getting really big servers and would like to consolidate servers, but we have the problem with memory.
And it doesn’t matter if the server is partitioned, it will only use 2 or 3 GB ram depending on platform.
I know we could change to another platform but it’s not an option for the customer. And if its solved on Linux then it should be possible to fix on Windows.
I have heard rumours that this will be fixed in Domino 7.5 but that is a long time a way, does anyone know?
How hard can it be to fix this on Windows 2003, it has been fixed on other platforms?
