Hi all, I’m using the code to find the position of values in a multi value field separated by "; ".this is the code,
a:=@Member( "A" ;cnumb);@Prompt([ok];"";@Text(a));
@If(@Contains(cnumb;“A”);@Word(crithead;“;”;a);“”);
but it prompts “0” in the message box as if there were no values in the list…Based on the position of “A” in “cnumb”, I’m extracting values in the field “crithead”.
Need help…
Thanks in advance,

From the context, it looks like cnumb is NOT a true multivalue field but is a string with “;” used as an internal delimier.
If this is the case, transform cnumb into a mutivalue field by using @Explode.
i.e. a:= @Member(“A”; @Explode(cnumb));
You’ll have to apply this to crithead also if it is a string.

hi Andrew, I used @explode,as you suggested but now I have problem not able to solve…I’m getting the position as 1,2 3…etc., but when I use this position in the @word, its giving me either a blank field or all the values in the cnumb…
whats the problem in this code,
b:= @Member(@Explode(cnumb);“A”);
@Prompt([ok];“”;@Text(b));
@Word(crithead;“;”;b)
If I give “1” in the position of b, gettting exact value ,what I want…
Thanks in advance,

Firstly, reverse the parameters to the @Explode function. Check the Designer help if you need clarification.
