Hi,
Meetings booked on Resource Reservations database are not showing up as booked. A couple of test meetings were booked but they did not show up as a conflict with other meetings which were already booked at the same time. Basically it was possible to book several meetings on top of one another without the conflict popping up.
Could you please advice…

Subject: Check your busytime dB
From the little info you provided it could be that your busytime database has problems such as duplicate records for a room or perhaps rep. save conflicts. If your busytime database has > 1 record for anyone then you should rebuild it. (There is a known issue on this that has been around for a while but it is not reproducible on demand so there is no fix for it yet.)
One thing to note is you can have > 1 name appear twice but they can be in different hierarchies. Typically that happens for users who get renamed (e.g. married or divorced) and they have calendar entries under both names. It can happen to rooms as well if the rooms are simply at different sites. This is due to the view only showing the CN portion of the name, not the full hierarchical name. So look at the full name of any suspected duplicates before you destroy anything.
Support has tools to help you diagnose this kind of issue so if you check busytime but do not see any issues then I suggest you open a ticket with them and get some one on one time with the support team.

Resource Reservation databases (RRDB) based on a 6.x or earlier design do not function properly on Domino 7.x, Domino 8.x or later servers. Overbooking of rooms and resources can easily occur if you attempt to use a pre-Domino 7 RRDB on any newer server. For example:
– Rooms requested through users’ calendars will not be booked, and no notifications are sent.
– Reservations booked directly in the RRDB will appear to have processed; however, busytime is not updated.
