It seems every 3 to 5 years someone “upstairs” asks us to investigate Shared Mail. and we have to spend time investigating and writing the pros and cons… I am hoping that what I am getting from reading the documentation is correct and I can finally put this to sleep…
If I am reading the documentation correctly the Maximum amount of Shared Mail per server is 80GB…
Is this correct??
The documentation states you can have up to 10 Directories per server and each directory can be a Maximum of 8GB.
There are plenty of other Cons that I have for Shared Mail but this would be the “final nail in the coffin” as our Mail servers, on Average, have around 400GB of data each right now.
