Maximum Size for NSF Archive

Hello,I posted this in the LotusLive forum as well, but maybe this is a better spot for it.

I am trying to determine a practical maximum size for an nsf mail archive on local machine.

I realize that theoretically, an nsf file may have no maximum size, limited only by available disk space. However, practically speaking I am concerned about how big the achive should be allowed to grow before problems may occur in viewing mail, indexing, etc.

I have seen people say that they keep the size at about 2GB.

My local machine: nothing that special: 1.60GHz, and 2GB RAM

the absolute maximum on windows is 64GB.

Paul, Thanks for your feedback.

On a basic workstation with not a lot of processor or RAM to spare, I might try to keep a mail file database under 10GB, if not under 5GB.
