Is it possible to set the maximum message size on the router for a single domino server? We have client spread over a wide area and slow links that use a local replica and connect back to a single server. Is the Domino router still used to send messages to different people on the same server? Although it’s not a huge issue large emails going to people on the same server, it becomes an issue when their local replica replicates the next time to draw down new email. Ano thoughts on this would be appreciated…

You can set maximum message sizes in the server configuration document (If you haven’t got one then create one)
Go to Router/SMTP then Restrictions and Controls then select Restrictions tab.
At the bottom is the option to set max message size

I understand that but will the size restriction work on a single domino server. Does routing take place when delivering messages from one to another on the same server?
