Maximum hop count exceeded

Dear Friends

Need your Help,

In my office currently have two email system, Exchange and Domino, and currently what ever email from internet will send first to

Exchange and then if the name not listed in EXCHANGE but use the same domain will then transfer to Domino. And in Domino I also set Local Internet domain smart host: and ip for this smart host is Exchange server.

and now my mail from internet, exchange and also domino will keep looping if no name in both email system.

If name not listed in Exchange ,mail transfer to Domino and base on smart host setting if name also not listed from domino will transfer back to Exchange. how can I set , if mail from internet/exchange and name not listed in Domino, Domino will then generate report Non Delivery Report

Any idea how to solve this problem… thank a lot

In the server’s configuration document go to Router/SMTP > Restriction and Controls > SMTP Inbound Controls and down to the section ‘Inbound Intended Recipients Controls’. Set the option ‘verify that local domain recipients exist in the domino directory’ to ‘enabled’. The SMTP server will now reject mail for users not in the Domino Directory.
