If the performance is not affected, it should be OK.
30.000 documents is not a big number.
If users claim that the DB is slow:
If you have lot of views and each selection formula
is “complex” you can detect which views are not being
used and delete them. Also if you have resorted columns
that are not being used you can remove these settings
You can archive documents… but I’m not sure if this
is a good idea for a CRM app
I see that if you have 30000 docs and 10 GB, it
gives that each document is nearly 3 MB. You can
compress attachments and optimize images… there
are useful third party solutions like ZipMail

30k documents is nothing, but at the moment, anything more than 64GB is a problem in Windows. I dont’ know about iSeries.
