Max database size

At this moment we have a CRM database of 9/10 GB with 30.000 documents.

Could this give problems or is this no problem ?

If the performance is not affected, it should be OK.

30.000 documents is not a big number.

If users claim that the DB is slow:

  • If you have lot of views and each selection formula

is “complex” you can detect which views are not being

used and delete them. Also if you have resorted columns

that are not being used you can remove these settings

  • You can archive documents… but I’m not sure if this

is a good idea for a CRM app

  • I see that if you have 30000 docs and 10 GB, it

gives that each document is nearly 3 MB. You can

compress attachments and optimize images… there

are useful third party solutions like ZipMail

Hope this helped

30k documents is nothing, but at the moment, anything more than 64GB is a problem in Windows. I dont’ know about iSeries.
