Mark incoming mail as read

How can I automatically process incoming mail (subject=[SPAM] …), so that they are move to separate folder and then marked as read? I tried Lotusscript, Formula actions and Simple actions, for both “before mail arrived” and “after mail arrived” agents and just couldn’t get it to work :frowning:

Does anybody have working solution?

Have you tried creating a mail Rule? Rules can certainly move an inbound e-mail to a folder based on a text string in the Subject, but I don’t think any agent can mark something as read or unread.

I have and rule works. Unfortunately there’s no action “Mark as read” :frowning: Now each time I get new mail notification in system tray, I go check the Inbox and it’s really annoying to see that it was just spam :frowning:

I would like that all mail that gets marked as spam be routed to some folder and then marked as read. This way I can just go check that folder once a day/week and see if some mail was mistakenly routed there. Any reason why isn’t there such an action?

FYI, the new mail is triggered by new mail being delivered and a counter in your notes.ini, NOT by you reading something or not
