Manipulate from address for server generated mails

Hello,

Is it possible to manipulate the from address for mail created by the server ? (for instance mail created by the “Fault Recovery” → “Mail Fault Notification to” functionality is sent in name of the server).

But when you send this mail from the platform to another mail system the from address is generated with the standard conversion rules. I want to manipulate the from adres so that it is a better interpretable name.

Anyone here with an idea ?

P.S. I tried to add the field “IMailAddress” and “InternetAddress” already to the server document but this does not solve the problem.

you can’t change th value of From as it’s overwritten every time by the client/server when a message is sent. instead set the Principal field to be the address you want the message to come ‘from’ then it will show up as ‘sent by’ the server but from your programmed address.

alterntively you can use the ReplyTo field if you just want the replies to go somewhere else and you don’t really care where it came from.

AFAIK there is nothing that allows you to set the from address directly.

However you may be able to use the following problem to your advantage:
