Making multiple dblookups

Hi I am preparing a client database,In which i am having client information like client name, and multiple contact person names with their address and all etc.

After preparing the client information i need the information to be on my other form, like for picking up the client name i am using @dbcolumn,Now according to the client name

I need to pick all the contact person in a dialogue box for that client.

Now here the probelm is this if the contact person of 1 client is 4 means 4 different fields how i will use @dblookup.

I am struck up,please give me some idea.

Is it a idea to use @DBColumn and read out the entire column where you can just put the four fields in one column?

Ok, I hope I understand you right.

You have a form where you store the name etc. The form contains multiple contacts(?), so 1-many relation?

Yes,you are right,any clue??

Subject: RE: making multiple dblookups

Oke,You can use DBLookup (because gives you the matching/related values) and like I said use the column value (4 fields). Give the a separator like “;” and show the value as multi-value in you dialog.

example:

Column

Name1;name2;name3;name4 (a multi-value ready to show in you dialog)

If this does not answer your question, then describe your problem more detailed.

I just tried all the optionsIf i am using ;.then i am getting the values in dialogue box like

India;Us;UK

But i need the display the values in seperate lines like

India

US

UK

Then try to play with the column properties. The one can have effect is (first tab) “Multi-value separator”: Semicolon and second tab Show multi-values as separate entries.
