I’d like some way to invoke the “script editor” dialog directly from the “Source” tab. Say by right-clicking on some script in the source and selecting “Script Editor” or something equally intuitive. Then I get there in two clicks and gobs less mouse movement.

The only reason I want to use the “script editor” dialog at all, is it appears to be the only place one may browse available objects. It’s impossible to get context-sensitive help on them, but at least the objects and methods are there, ala the old style “reference” tab. Since the “script editor” is the only place to browse objects it’s desirable to able to load it.

Right now I have to select the script I want to edit, wait for the highlight to change to the enclosing xp:tag set (often seconds), drive the mouse to the lower right corner and click the “Restore” dingus (because properties, etc are a nightmare detached, so they stay minimized until needed), possibly select “All Properties”, scroll All Properties to the correct place (because it’s always at the top), click on the right edge of the Value box (where that goofy diamond should be but never is until after clicking), click “computed value” (even though it is already), then finally the “script editor” appears. It is just me or does that seem like a simply ludicrous amount of effort?? Nightmare simply keeps coming to mind where DDE is concerned.
