@Mailsend missing recipients error

We have a simple application that automatically sends an e-mail announcement to some 200 employees in the company when the originator “Submits” the document. The SendTo, CopyTo, and BCC lists are based on several sources, some based on view @DBLookups while others are mail groups in the Notes address book.

The Problem: Every so often, an employee leaves the company and the source lists are not immediately updated. The problem arises then when the user submitting the new document is prompted with the “Missing Username” dialogbox. In spite of efforts to instruct users, some still click “Cancel” on the dialogbox (instead of “Skip Username”) which causes the entire @Mailsend to abort.

Anyone have any simple suggestions on how to programmatically handle this? Ideally, formula language would be preferred since the application is already using it. I was hoping there might be an option in Formula language to “[FailSilent]” in this context, but haven’t found anything.

LotusScript might be workable solution as well, but I’d prefer to avoid adding a lot of new code unless absolutely necessary.

Thanks!
