Hi, I’m having a problem getting @mailsend to run on an application that is web enabelled. I tested the Db in the client and it works fine, delivering mail correctly. When i test it on the web it fails silently.I have put the formula in a save button on the web. all other formula in the save button runs perfectly.
RaisedByMail := @DbLookup(“”:“NoCache”;“”;“Contacts”;RaisedBy;“Email”);
AssignedToEmail := @DbLookup(“”:“NoCache”;“”;“Contacts”;AssignedTo;“Email”);
@SetField(“RaisedByMail”;RaisedByMail);
@SetField(“AssigneeMail”;AssignedToEmail);
@Command([FileSave]);
@MailSend(AssigneeMail;“”;“”;“LIS Issue Log - New Issue Created - " + IssueNumber;”“;“Please review the issue logged on the LIS Issue Log Database that has been assigned to you by " + RaisedBy +”.” + @NewLine + "Issue Number: " + IssueNumber + @NewLine + “Issue Title:” + Title);
@Command([FileSave]);
@Command([OpenView];“OI”)

Hi Peter,
I’m not sure whether it will actually work in your case.
I have used the @mailsend in a computed field in Web Apps and it worked fine. You can use @mail in conjunction with @if to fire the mailing in certain condition only.
Hope it helps.

@mailsend was’t work on web client. you can use lotus script for that. Related method is Doc.Send in Lotus Script.

Do you guys know if they have fixed ths in Notes 7. I tried it on my own Domino 7 server at home and it ran fine. The server i need it to run on is unfortunately a 6 server and it doesn’t work.
Subject: @mailsend in the web - IT DOES WORK
This works fine but there are some caveats.
-
DB must be set to generate javascript
-
There must be a view with the blue indicator on it. -KEY Be sure one of the views is set with the properties of:
Default when DB first opened (cjhecked)
Show response in heirarchy (checked)
Allow customizations (check)
Then this will work in an action bar button or a hotspot button.
For hotspot gray submit button on form, create hotspot button, formula choose CLIENT , WEB.
Use this code or similar:
@Command([FileSave]);
@MailSend(“Janet Jackson”;“”;“”;“Photo Submission”;“”;"Photo Submitted by “:@Name([CN];@UserName):” on “:@Text(@Created):” regarding - “:EmpNameforPhoto: " - Click here to review the photo ----->”; [IncludeDoclink] );
@Command([FileCloseWindow])
Then the mail send works fine over the web.
This has worked for us in R6 fine…
I don’t think this is documented.
