Mails earlier than March 17 don't show on Inbox

None of my users can see mails that are older than March 17, 2008 on their Inbox, but they can see them under All Documents. I don’t know where I read that this is a new feature of the Domino Server 8 and it’s to improve performance on the clients. Is there any way to make the Inbox view show mails older than that? Or do I just have to tell them they should copy and paste their e-mails from All Documents if they don’t wanna go to that view?

Thanks in advance.

Subject: Had same problem - Here is solution

In the server document, under Server Tasks - Administration Process tabs, there is a field called Mail Inbox Maintenance. It is set to Maintain Inboxes based on policy (which is a default Adminp process). We changed it to only run for selected user on this home server, and we left the user field blank. The default was to enable and run the agent every 90 days, then disable the agent when finished with the particular mailfile.

Dumb question: do I disable the agent by changing the 90 to a 0 or a blank?

Subject: Have you checked one of following two possibilities?

if with every coming day you see e-mails from different days then it’s possible to be one of following things :

  1. Cut-off date in replication settings -deletes documents from before the cut-off date

  2. Archive option in database options - deletes documents and puts them in archive database on your local station.

Try those.
