we have a problem concerning mailrouting.

one gateway server which receives mails from internet
one mail and application server in the local network
The domino domain is connected to a adjacent domino domain (other company) with notes-notes routing implemented.
Everything works fine for a long time.
Unfortunately now we have a new user “firstname.lastname@company.com”. His lastname is the same as the name of the connected adjacent domain. And mails for this user won’t route the correct way. Coming from the internet they reach the gatewayserver and from there they will not be routed to the internal domino but to the other domain (notes routing “firstname@lastname” which “means firstname@adjacentdomain” in our configuration).
Why will this happen this way and how can I change this?
Mails to “something@company.com” (just one part left of domain) will route correctly to the mail-database in the local domain.
Adressing “firstname.lastname@company.com” from a Lotus Notes client inside will route to the adjacent domain (firstname@lastname) instead of to the "local2 mail-database for “firstname lastname”.
