Mailfile / mailserver / location parameters keeps changing in notes.ini

I have installed a Notes client on a XP box and connected to a 7.0 Server. Works fine after installation, however after a period of time (sometimes overnight) the mailfile parameter in the notes.ini file on the client is changed. Also the mailserver parameter is changed to another server and the location parameter has the first field blanked out.

This has happened intermittently of over 2 weeks. Full upgrade of client from 7 to 8.5.1 has not helped. Even the laptop has been reformatted and re-installed - same issue.

Searching forums and the net have not revealed how these parameters are being updated and from where.

Any suggestions / tips would be appreciated.

There is a possibility that a policy (could be Move mail) is causing this. Are there any policies assigned to the user?

Also, is it always changing to a particular server and location ( specified on the policy) or it is different every time?
