One of our users has noticed that the Mail Threads view doesn’t appear listed under the View category in the mail outline when viewed in the Notes 8.0.2 standard client, but does appear when the mail database is viewed in Notes 7.0.1 (the servers are all Domino 7.0.1). Looking at the design, I found that the Mail Threads view in the NotesMailOutline design element in the Notes 8.0.2 template is controlled by a hide-when based on @IsEmbeddedInsideWCT, which wasn’t the case in Notes 7. Is there a reason for this?

In R8.0 Standard Client, we introduced the new feature called “Conversations”, whereby you can go to the Inbox and view a message groups with all of its replies (e.g., thread). Since this feature is not available in the Basic client, the Mail Threads option remains on the navigator.
You can still get to the Mail Threads view in the Standard client by clicking View - Go To - Mail Threads.
