Mail template changes

Hi all,

I have a requirement to modify the mail template file to provide user with the custome button.

My question is once i modify the mail template file how i will update the end users database with the new design.

Can this be done automatically by the Domino server or some Domino process in the production environment if i replace the existing template with new customized template on the server.

What all i need to take care while replacing the template in production environment.

You can do a couple of things. First, you could create a policy that will refresh or replace the design for a user/group/organization, or you could manually run the convert from the console like this:

load convert database_name template_name

Search the admin help or this forum for more info.

Changes done in the template will be replaced @ 2 AM in the users environemnt by default.

Thanks for the reply. As i change the template do i need to take some additional steps to be on the safe side. Offcourse i will take the backup of the existing template. Any thing else you can point out?
