I am looking at bandwidth requirements for extra mail usage as we implement journaling.Have been looking at the stats domino produces and I am a bit confused as to a few of them and what they are actually saying. Specifically :
Mail.PeakByteDeliveryRate
Mail.PeakByteTransferRate
Now I am assuming that is the largest amount of bytes delivered to mailboxes on the server (for Delivery) and out to other servers (for Transfer). But I am unsure of the timescale … Is it bytes per second ?
If we have for example a peak byte delivery rate of 100,000 and a peak byte transfer rate of 50,000 then if we journal on that server so that we email to a mailbox on a different server we would have an additional peak byte transfer rate of 150,000 bytes per second which ends up being 1.14 Mbits per second ??
I have searched and searched the web and help for better knowledge of these stats but to no avail ! They can be slightly ambiguous I am finding !!
Thanks for any help.
