User’s mail sorting defaults to oldest to newest. She had it sorting from newest to oldest and suddenly it has changed. She resorts when the mail is open, but when she restarts Notes it defaults back to oldest at the top. Thanks.
Subject: User preferences
There’s a setting File → Preferences → User Preferences.
On the Basics tab under Additional Options… place a check mark next to the option “Retain View column sorting”.
Works better than replacing the mail design in my opinion.

yep,
pretty much the most ridiculous and required first modification that needs to be made to the mail template.
Step 1. Download new mail template.
Step 2. Open designer and sort date column newest to oldest.
Step 3. Upgrade Folder design (for other views).
