When selecting users from my own contacts in webmail, mail is sent to contactname @ mydomain. of course it returns to my inbox because this user does not exist. Selecting the same person in notes sends the email to the emailaddress. When creating a mail while in the contactsoverview the emailaddress IS selected in the To-fieldbtw the dutch languagepack is applied

Just a quick thought - are you perhaps picking these contacts from Different Address Books? i.e.: In DWA, picking them from a Directory Assistance Database, Domino Directory, etc…and in the Client, you are using your Local Contacts? Or vice versa?
Just curious if that could be a factor.

The problem exists when i pick the address from the contacts whom are synchronized to my mail file. When i use these same contacts in notes there is no problem. When in DWA in the contactsoverview there is no problem. When i select a user from a different addressbook, using DA no problem.

A quick question, are you using the Full DWA Interface, or the Plain White-Background Web Mail?
If you append - ?OpenDatabase&ui=webmail" to your Mail URL, that will give you the Web Mail Interface, I am curious to see if the issue occurs there as well.
For example:
www.servername.usa.com/mail/jdoe.nsf?OpenDatabase&ui=webmail
Additionally, does this occur in DWA Lite Mode as well?
I’m thinking you may want to call into IBM Support and request to speak with the iNotes Team. I recall running into a very similar issue in an Environment that had a random field in their Directory Assistance database filled in that appended this information. I am thinking there is either a regular, or possibly hidden, field that is automatically populated (perhaps via Recent Contacts) that is causing this issue.

I have done extensive testing within DWA regarding name resolution and recall seeing a similar issue. Although, I can’t recall the exact root cause. I believe it had to do with either a Directory Assistance or Directory Catalog database. Or, it may have been with the name resolution changes they may within the 8 Codestream and DWA.
Unfortunately, I don’t remember the exact details. I would suggest contacting IBM Support and request to speak with the iNotes Team (they are now separate from the Client Team). They will be able to thoroughly test and troubleshoot this issue.
If you do not have a support contract, let me know and I will see what additional information I can gather.
